Though the music festival “season” has entered a period of rest, that does not mean there is a shortage of events to attend.

While there are not nearly as many music festivals during the winter months (for obvious reasons), there are still quite a bit of quality events.

These destination events not only possess loaded lineups, but most are located in sun soaked locations, offering a warm getaway for your musical voyage.

Life In Color Miami

As the nationwide Life In Color Tour comes to a close, LIC is making a stop in South Florida for their first ever two-day event.

This sun-soaked, paint-filled extravaganza will feature two stages and some of the biggest names in the game. Borgore, The Chainsmokers, Kaskade, Bingo Players, Madeon, Adventure Club, Diplo and many more will all take the stage as the canons unleash thousands of gallons of paint on the crowd.

Lights All Night

The premier winter EDM festival in Texas, Lights All Night features more than 50 performances over two days. Topping the lineup are Skrillex, Zedd, Armin van Buuren, and Disclosure.

Snowglobe

Snowglobe is one of few winter EDM festival’s on our list that are conducive to the cold weather fans. Bundle up as Flume, Porter Robinson, Odesza and more light up the lake near the Nevada border.

Decadence

Only in its second year, Decadence is already one of the top winter destinations for ravers looking to get their fix. The two day event will bring in the New Year with Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, Armin Van Buuren, Kaskade, Claude VonStroke and more. Brought to you by Global Dance, this indoor Winter Wonderland boasts one of the most diverse lineups of any winter EDM festival.

Canada’s feature winter festival is an eclectic mix of funk, vibes, filthy dubstep, and massive favorites. The multi-day event will close out 2014 with performances from Feed Me, GRiZ, Gramatik, Kaytranada, Thomas Jack, Armin van Buuren and many more.

Jam Cruise

Departing Miami, Jam Cruise will head to Hondurus and stop through Mexico before making its way back to the shores of Florida. The 13th edition of the sets at sea will witness performances from Pretty Lights with the live band, Break Science, and Umphrey’s McGee with a heavy emphasis on jam bands and funk.

BPM Festival

With over 150 DJs and 50 events, this expansive festival is not for the faint of heart. Electric Daisy Carnival Puerto Rico

While this may be the most intimate EDC gathering offered by Insomniac Events, that by no means suggests that you will be in short company. Dedicated ravers will flock to the Sixto Escobar Complex for two days of carnival rides, art installations, incredible weather, and even better music.

Holy Ship!

This year will mark the first year that the flagship EDM cruise will embark on separate voyages over two weekends. Setting sail from South Florida, Holy Ship! will travel to The Bahamas before making its way back stateside. You would be crazy to think that the biggest names in electronic dance music would not take up the opportunity to perform on these musical excursions. Weekend 1 features performances by Knife Party, Pretty Lights, and Flume with Weekend 2 throwing down with Skrillex, Fatboy Slim, Baauer and dozens of others.
