Ultra Music Festival Singapore Releases Lineup, Tickets Going Fast on Secondary Market

As far as electronic dance music festivals go, there are few that compare to the prominence of the Ultra Music Festival franchise. Earlier this summer the festival announced the latest addition to their “Ultra Worldwide” takeover and expanded its path to the Indonesian island of Bali. Ultra festival has upcoming stops in Japan, Chile, Brazil, and Bali on the calendar, and just this week, the massive lineup was announced for Ultra Singapore, where headliners Skrillex, Alesso, Nicky Romero, and David Guetta will play to a crowd of over 100,000 people September 19-21.

Ultra Music Festival will also make stops in Bali in Seminyak on September 24 and 25, in Ibiza, Spain on October 4, as well as a stop in Chile on October 10.

In March 2016, Ultra will continue with their expansion into Brazil.

In typical Ultra festival fashion, the ticket demand is incredibly high, and many of the dates are already sold out.

Due to a huge demand across the primary and secondary market, tickets on the secondary market are limited. According to Ticketbis, the get-in price for a three-day pass to Ultra in Japan is $577, and the one-day passes are roughly $238. A Saturday pass to see the Ultra Festival in Chile has a get-in price of $161, and a pass to Ultra Bali yields a get-in price of $249. It is expected that more tickets will become available as the festival dates loom closer.

The Ultra Festival was born in 1999 by Russell Faibisch and Alex Omes, getting its name from the 1997 Depeche Mode album Ultra. Initially, UMF started as a one-day event in Miami but quickly expanded into an international event.

Top DJs like Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Carl Cox, David Guetta, Hardwell, and Martin Garrix have held headline slots in prior festivals and this year at Ultra Miami in March, the lineup became one of its biggest yet, as it featured headlining sets from Tiësto, Skrillex, Hardwell and Armin van Buuren.

Already in 2015, Ultra has made successful stops in South Africa, Buenos Aires, Miami, South Korea, and Croatia, and the Ultra brand is only expected to continuing dominating and growing their fan base of “Ultranauts.”
