To help explain this unique track throughly we reached out to Liam himself A.K.A Templo to gain more insight. Here is what we discovered.

First, we asked, what was your inspiration to write ‘Grid Color’?

A friend was getting some really crazy sounds from his guitar and a new delay pedal and I was pretty much just trying to figure out how to replicate a few of them when I made this track. -Templo

What is your song writing process?

Most of my songs are made in more of a format where it’s like I’m just jamming with myself. I’ll pick a tempo, sequence the drums and then just jam some keyboard or bass until I find something I like. So I never really know what I’m going to end up with at the end of the day. -Templo

Finally we asked, how would you describe the sound for ‘Grid Color’?

I would definitely say this one is on the more melodic downtempo side, relative to what I have been making lately. I’ve been pushing myself more on the low end lately and you can hear some of that come out as well. ‘Grid Color’ is like a nice hybrid of what I was working on a year ago and what I’m working on now. -Templo
