Chill Harris and Virtu Discuss Musical Beginnings and Artistic Inspirations

Corey Baker, formerly known as Kill Paris, changed his name to Chill Harris after the terrorist attack in Paris, France last November. He’s known for his glitch-hop/future funk style and has become a pioneer of the genre.

Virtu, on the other hand, is a Los Angeles based producer who is known for his melodic dubstep and future bass.

We spoke with Chill Harris and Virtu at Das Energi Festival 2016 to discuss how they got into music and what they have planned for the rest of the year.

The two producers have been friends for over 3 years and met through a mutual friend at the Icon Collective Music Production School. They are both signed to the label “Sexy Electric” and constantly share music with each other.

They also had an interest in music since they were young, playing in bands and trying out different instruments until they entered into electronic music.
