12 Sets You Would Be Crazy to Miss at Wakarusa 2014

Wakarusa is coming to Arkansas in the beginning of June and things are fittin’ to be quite heady and hella weird in the Mulberry Mountains.

Way up there in the mountains of Northwest Arkansas there is absolutely nothing that can weigh you down. There exists only wide-open, unencumbered vastness where, although the sky may still be the limit, you are right there with it surrounded by nothing but good vibes, great people, and even better music.

It doesn’t seem like any thing can keep Wakarusa 2014 from being one of the best festivals of the summer.

Even last year, when severe weather threatened to permanently cancel the show, campers emerged from their shelter to put their damaged property behind them and use the mud to their advantage. Funny considering Wakarusa translates literally to “ass deep.” And boy were we ass deep in mud last year. That’s just the funny thing about it.

Everyone that I have talked to who attended last years event had nothing but good things to say and how much they could not wait to return in 2014.

There is just something about the vibe at Wakarusa.

With the festival lengthened to five days, our Wakarusa family is going to have quite the opportunity to experience one of the best lineups I have personally seen in a while. From dubbed out wompy EDM with Adventure Club to three nights of funky freshness with The String Cheese Incident, Wakarusa 2014 offers something for literally every taste of music, including some bands that are a little bit harder to catch on their regular tours.

With five days, six stages, 150 acts, and over 200 sets of music. you are bound to find something that will tickle your fancy. From the time the music kicks off at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, June 4, it goes practically nonstop (aside from Wednesday night) until the the end of the festival.

With so much music, who do you decide to see?

This is not a top 12 list by any means. You can’t go wrong with any one on the docket. STS9, Adventure Club, Infected Mushroom…

With that being said, we take a look at 12 sets you would be crazy to miss at Wakarusa 2014. If you haven’t done so already, purchase your tickets here.
