Bringing in more than 400,000 attendees over 3 days at 2014’s event, EDC Las Vegas is the largest multi-day music festival in North America. With an equally massive 2015 expected (general admission tickets sold out long, long ago), it only makes sense to assume that EDC Las Vegas is staying on the cutting edge of the festival world by bringing out some of the most unique productions, installations, and amenities for fans and festival goers.
Recently Insomniac (the producers of the Electric Daisy Carnival events) released 10 new surprises that they have in store for EDC Las Vegas 2015, and this year’s additions are looking to take EDC Las Vegas to another level this year.
Here are 10 brand-new surprises that you can expect during your time at EDC Las Vegas 2015:
Eight New Stage Designs
EDC Las Vegas is unveiling 8 new stage designs for 2015’s event. As always with the kineticFIELD, owls will play a prominent role in this year’s event. Between every DJ set at EDC Las Vegas 2015 the mayor of the EDC owl community will appear and release crystals to the audience – fusing technology and nature for everyone involved.
Also, The Funk House will be featured for the first year at EDC Las Vegas 2015. A 360-degree structure built entirely from recycled and reclaimed materials, The Funk House will play host to future funk, funk, disco, rare groove, soul, and classic hip-hop sets.
New Art Installations
Artist Gerard Minakawa will be undertaking a massive project at EDC Las Vegas 2015. Creating a monstrous colonnade of bamboo columns, vaulted roof, and central structure designed to be reminiscent of Istanbul’s famous Hagia Sophia. Requiring roughly 20 tons of building materials, this is no small task and promises to be a stunning addition to EDC Las Vegas this year.
More Chill Spots
EDC Las Vegas will be adding more of their famous Chill Spots for 2015’s event. Essentially, each Chill Spot includes benches, LED trees, and other creative elements to create a calm and relaxing space to take a moment to chill in between sets.
Carnival Square
The projected main meet-up spot for EDC Las Vegas, Carnival Square will feature food and beverage vendors, merchandise booths, a general store, lineup information, a video confessional booth, lost and found and more. Essentially, Carnival Square will be your one-stop-festival-shop for everything but the music.
New Food Trucks
EDC Las Vegas 2015 is welcoming 7 new food trucks to the already stellar lineup of culinary offerings. Ranging from organic food items (50 Shades of Green) to gourmet wood fired pizza (Urban Pie) and everything in between, you can expect to eat like a king at EDC Las Vegas this year.
The Terrace at kineticFIELD
Originally known as the “Dining Deck”, The Terrace at kineticFIELD is an upscale restaurant who’s all-star menu has been curated by Chef Keven Alan Lee, Executive Chef and CEO of My World on a Plate.
Some items that on the menu for EDC Las Vegas 1015 include: The Spicy Tuna Electro Roll, Hypnotic Tacos, and THE BOMB S’mores.

Marquee SkyDeck at EDC
The Marquee SkyDeck is an exclusive, open-air night club perched in the perfect area of the festival to see all of the shenanigans that are going on at kineticFIELD.
Featuring high-end, decor, bars, and more – the Marquee SkyDeck is the perfect way to relax and unwind in true Vegas VIP fashion.

Insomniac is releasing new merchandise for purchase at this year’s EDC Las Vegas. In addition to being able to scoop up your official EDC Las Vegas gear at the festival, you’ll be able to pick up official merchandise from participating hotel vendors on the Las Vegas Strip as Well.
